Free Seeds Donations for K-12 Schools’ Edible Garden

2/20/2025: Oviedo, Florida Zone 10A

I am currently offering free seeds donations for any K-12 schools that wanted to start an edible garden or if the garden has been ruined by a hurricane or tornado. This seed donations project has been made possible thanks to the members of my local Facebook group, O-Free-Do, who donated the Forever stamps and my supporting seed buyers. I sell $1 seed packets to help me cover my out of pocket cost for collecting and buying rare seed cultivars. For every 100 seed packets I sell, I am able to donate seeds to four public schools’ gardens. I use the money from my $1 seed sales to buy new seed varieties. The cycle repeats.

Please contact me and provide the following information I need:

  • Name of school
  • Attention to
  • Mailing address
  • Indicate your Plant Hardiness Zone – Refer to this site as a guide to find what your Plant Hardiness Zone is https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov
  • Type of seed you need (cold-hardy, heat-tolerant, or a mix of both). I offer eight seed packets per donation which may include some variety of sunflower, bok choy, daikon or beet, pepper (sweet only unless you request sweet and hot, or hot pepper seeds), edible flowers, eggplant, herb, vegetable and lettuce seeds.

Remember to send me pictures. I would love to see the results!
