Ethan’s Pan Seared Scallops

I was going to test Joanne’s recipe for pan seared scallops recipe from, but chef Ethan took control and ruined my plan. So I turned this pictorial into a first-person narrative story for the little man. So this pictorial recipe is more for entertainment reading. Mama doesn’t recommend doing what Ethan suggested.


  • 1.3 lb scallops
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • dried basil leaves
  • 1 egg
  • 2 lemon wedges
