This is my on-going documentary of my PPC atemoya tree growing in Oviedo, Florida, Zone 10A. I am just focusing on the visual growth of my PPC tree and show you how my tree look with each before and after pruning and showing off my harvest of course.
- Name: PPC Atemoya / Na Hoàng Hậu
- Growing zones: Zone 9B and warmer in Florida and California
- Seller: Leaph Leaph (on Facebook) in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. If you are in the Orlando/Oviedo surrounding areas and would like me to pick up a fruit tree from Leaph for you, message me. Leaph does not ship his fruit trees.
- General Information: Atemoya is a cross hybrid between a sugar apple and a cherimoya. The variety of sugar apple and the variety of cherimoya being crossed determines the specific atemoya cultivar. This documentary focuses on my PPC atemoya, which originated from Thailand.
12/8/24: My PPC Atemoya died! I am not sure why the tree rotted. I watered the tree pretty well once a week. This is the second PPC Atemoya tree that died.
8/23/24: I harvested my very first homegrown PPC atemoya! It could be bigger once I have it in the ground. The ripen fruit fell down. I love atemoya more than sugar apple. I hand pollinated my sugar apple and atemoya flowers this year so I got more fruits. It’s a lot of love and time put into the fruit production.
June 2024: I bought my PPC Atemoya from Leaph in West Palm Beach in 2023 and it’s fruiting for me this year! My tree is currently in a 15-gallon pot. I am building up my compost and organic soil to add it to the hole once I figure out a “long term” spot for this tree in the ground.
