6/2/24: This is an on-going documentary of the problems I am continually dealing with from my neighbor C.C. and his two oak trees in Oviedo, Florida.

Oak trees are wonderful shade trees when planted in the right place and in the right location that do not effect the surrounding environment. Unfortunately, my neighbor’s oak trees are planted within five feet from the property line. One tree is within less than 10 feet from my house wall and foundation.

I have to deal with daily problems and frustrations that the neighbor’s oak trees are causing for my garden, landscape, plants, paved tiles, roof, rain gutter, and house wall/foundation. Since moving into my property, I have put in thousands of dollars dealing with the problems caused by my neighbor’s two oak trees.

With the daily stress and frustrations that I have to put up with from his problematic oak trees, I never once approach C.C. to complain about the problems I am dealing with everyday to him nor tell him to be responsible for the problems since I understand what happens on my property are my problem, and not my neighbors or anyone else.

Every two years, I have to hire a licensed and insured tree service company to come trim back the oak branches. Regardless who I hired, C.C. is never happy when his oak trees are touched.

C.C. is not a friendly neighbor to begin with. There used to be a old rotting wooden fence that was falling apart. One of his sick oak tree had a dead branch that broke off and fell onto his ground and knocked down a rotting picket. C.C. got upset and decided to make false accusations by blaming me for his fallen dead branch that knocked his rotting picket fence off. I remember on (date), he was standing in his yard peering through the gap of the old wooden fence, yelling and using vulgar language, (the B and MF words to me) and verbally accusing me of causing the damage to his rotting fence. I blast him on Nextdoor for that. I made clear publicly on Nextdoor that C.C. needs to stop communicating to me verbally.

C.C. finally replaced his rotting wooden fence with a tan vinyl fence.

In 2023, C.C. asked permission for him to come into my backyard to trim back the big hedge back to property line. He and his girlfriend came into my backyard to do the trimming using an electric chainsaw. While performing the task, C.C. made damages to his own fence with the chainsaw.

5/16/24: I hired a licensed and insured tree service company, From Up the Grounds, to help me trim the hovering oak branches off from the oak tree closes to my house. The tree crew noticed C.C. was at home. Many people heard his voice. The owner of the tree service company attempted three times to ring the doorbell to inform C.C. of tree service being performed. C.C. deliberately time after time ignored my tree guy and would not open the door to acknowledge my tree guy. When the tree service work was completely, he said that he was never informed. Absurd! The tree company did a great job trimming off the hovering oak branches. No damage was made to the fence.

5/30/24: I was walking with my 5-years-old son around the block. As we walked by C.C. house around 5:30 pm, he was rolling his yard waste out. He saw me and stopped me to talk. He started accusing me of his fence being damaged by my tree service crew. Once again, I do not appreciate this man verbally making false accusations. The damages to the fence were from his chainsaw he used to trim his big hedge back. One top bar of the fence started out with small little holes and now have gotten bigger over the year since he last damaged it with his chainsaw. Vinyl do deteriorates you know.

Nothing lasts forever. While a vinyl fence lasts longer than a wooden fence, but the lifespan of a vinyl fence is about 20 to 30 years. I will not replace or repair damages caused by C.C. and his chainsaw.

C.C. has informed me in that my tree guy has zero authorization to trespass his property for any tree work done. Therefore, C.C. should never complain and/or accuse my tree service companies for not cleaning up any yard debris fallen in his backyard since they are not allowed to get into his yard in the first place whenever tree service is performed on my property.
