The Raised Beds and Pots I Use

This is my product review post with product links since my gardening folks commonly asked about where to buy them when they come see my garden. (I am not an affiliate nor do I earn any commission for recommending the products. I just don’t like having to repeat myself for the same commonly asked questions about where I bought my garden pots and accessories. 😂)

Raised Beds

1. Polyethylene raised boxes by Ameal on Wayfair is where I bought my raised boxes. I have tested other copycat versions and it’s poor quality. So make sure you get the one by Ameal on Wayfair. Anyway, this comes with 8 pieces in which you can configure into two 2×4 ft polyethylene raised boxes or two small square boxes and two large square boxes. With my weak back, I prefer using these raised boxes over wooden boxes because the value is equivalent to cedar wood raised boxes but last much longer than cedar wood.

      2. I like these sturdy Haviland’s 35-gallon squat pots that are 28 inches wide and 15-inches deep. This is an ideal pot to use as mini vegetable bed to grow eggplants, okra, tomatoes, pepper plants, and even carrots!

      Recommended Pots and Planters

17-inch and 20-inch plastic terracotta pots on Amazon by “HC Companies terrazzo pots”. The HC Companies offer the square and the round versions in assorted colors and sizes. These pots are very thick and sturdy. If I have the money, I would replace all my 15-25 gallon black pots with these pots for curb appeal.

I love these square thick and sturdy pots! I like to grow cherry tomatoes, pepper plants, and eggplants in the 20-inch pots. The bigger the pot, the bigger the crop.

This 14x14x6-inch deep pots with one drainage hole is perfect for growing my petite and dwarf bok choys, Chinese cabbages, Shirahime Hatsuka petite daikons, water spinach, spearmint, mints, lettuces and any other vegetables and herbs with a shallow root system that needs well watering to strive. With just one drainage hole, the water inside the pot doesn’t dry out as quick. I can just water once every two or three days instead of everyday. If you know of other 6-inch deep thick and sturdy pots for sale, please let me know.

23-quart decorative pot made in the USA purchased from Lowe’s: I like using this pot for my bonsais bougainvilleas and aloe vera.

Gro Pro and Pro Cal 10-gallon size pots are ideal for growing vegetables and herbs and fruit tree seedlings. You can spray exterior paint on the outside if you don’t like it black.

Recommended: I bought my 15, and 25-gallon pots on Greenhouse megastore online company. I also bought used and new versions through private sellers on Facebook Marketplace. Just type in key words like “plastic nursery pots” to search for these big pots.

        Small Decorative Pots

My favorite small decorative pots are purchased from Daiso. Daiso is a Japanese franchise selling products like Dollar general but made in Japan with quality in mind. The pots for my vertical trellises are purchased from Daiso Japanese online store. Unfortunately, Daiso online store is not available anymore but you can purchase the pots in stores. I bought mine at Daiso stores in North Texas.

        Seedling Pots & Trays

I love all my seedling pots and tray sets from Bootstrap Farmer online company. If you just need a few sets, try to find other local gardeners to split up the costs with it since buying in sets of ten is better than five sets. I recommended ordering the trays without holes. This way, I only need to water the bottom trays when we the soil is about to dry out.
