Documentary started Spring 2026 in Oviedo, FL, USA Zone 10A.

My daughter and I like to eat edamame. I like drinking fresh made soy milk. I thought growing my own soybean would be fun and easy but so far, my experiences is nothing but a failure.

Variety tested: Midori Giant

• Seeds sown: 3/21/26
• Transplanted: 4/12/26
• Pests: The seedlings planted in the front yard next to my camelia tree and crowd daisy all got inch worm infestation. The seedlings planted in a raised bed with tomato plants and yard long beans have no pest issue.
• Note: I will try growing soybean again when the weather cools down in September one last time.
