My goal is to bonsai all my bougainvilleas in a pot up to a 15-gallon pot max and train them into a tree form some a main trunks or two.

5/23/24: Bougainvillea ‘Sundown Orange’ is one of my favorite bougainvillea variety because it has my favorite colors mix. I bought this pot for $16.99 from Lukas Nursery in Oviedo, Florida. I will only update this post with before and after pruning to show you how I shape my bougainvillea into a tree shape.

5/23/24: The pot originally came with two rooted plants so I split them up, trimmed back the thick roots, trimmed off side branches and sucker branches, and repotted the two with rich organic soil with good drainage.
