I like to play with my herbs, spices, and sauces to marinate chicken wings differently almost every time. Here are two different marinades my family likes. I marinate chicken wings for at least half an hour. I’ll add more marinade recipes on this post whenever my kids and husband like it.
Chicken Wings Marinade #5 (spicy)
Prep time: 40 minutes Cook time: 30-40 minutes Servings: 2 lb chicken wings
Stove top: I marinate the chicken wings for half an hour. Then I heat up oil in my 12-inch Hexclad pan and pour the marinated chicken wings into the pan along with the coconut water at this time. Cook on medium high heat for two minutes and then lower to medium-low heat so that the sauce is simmering lightly. I covered the pan with a lid partially. Cook for 20 minutes. Then flip the wings over and cook for another 15-20 minutes until the sauce caramelizes. I served these yummy chicken wings with my homegrown cucumbers.
Chicken Wings Marinade #6 (kids-approved)
Prep time: 35 minutes Cook time: 10 minutes Servings: 2 lb chicken wings
Instant Pot: Marinate the chicken wings for half an hour. Pour 2/3 cup coconut water into the IP inner pot. Dump the chicken wings and marinade sauce into the inner pot. Cook on high pressure for ten minutes. Quick Release. (I’ll try to sauteed after cooking on high pressure next time.) Serve with rice. My kids liked this version. I don’t.
