- Transplanted 4/15/26
- Date of first harvest: 6/14/26
- Harvest time: Zucchino Rampicante can be harvested young when it is green and tender and taste like a zucchino. As this squash matures over time, the skin will harden and becomes a winter squash that can be harvested later in the fall and be stored for longer shelf life. How long can it be stored? To be tested…
- Pest issue: So far so good.
- Culinary uses: Zucchino Rampicante squash when harvested young and tender is great for air frying, roasting, stir frying, and in soups.
- What I learned: The flower buds are edible. Zucchino Rampicante is “disease resistant”. I have not see powdery mildew problem with this summer squash variety so far.
- Conclusion: Do I like to grow and eat Zucchino Rampicante? YES! =)
