Korean Summer Squash: Early Bulam
Early Bulam: I harvested the first Early Bulam on 5/23/25, but there were tiny green worms that had pierced little holes into the squash. I freaked out and threw the squash into the yard waste bin. I will never grow this squash again. 😂 Seeds from Kitazawa with high germination rate.
Zucchini Summer Squash: Black Beauty

- Location: 10A FL, in 15-gallon 12-inch high plastic barrel pots with full sun
- Result: I harvested my first three zucchini squashes on 5/23/25. I noticed many lower levels started to have powdery mildew. I am going to take the plant out and start something else. I will not be growing this variety ever again. Fruit production is slow.
- Notes: Water the soil early morning so the leaves can dry off on time. Try avoiding watering at night. The moisture and wet leaves gets powdery mildew easy. I sow the seeds too late in March. Growing experience would been better with more yield of seed was down in early February instead.
