Air Fried Crispy Pompano – Ca Chim Chien Gion

Every since we invested in a Cuisenart Air Fryer, air fried crispy pompano has been our weekly thing. Serve with steamed jasmine rice and Vietnamese sweet and sour fish sauce.

Ingredients:

1 pompanoa pinch of saltVietnamese sweet and sour fish sauce 

 

Direction:

1.  Rinse fish and strain or pat off liquid with paper towel. The skin won’t be crispy if the fish skin is wet.  Rub fish with a bit of salt.
 
2.  Place fish on the mesh rack on top rack and set to Air Fry function at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes.  No oil is needed. 
 
3.  Transfer to plate and serve with steamed jasmine rice and Vietnamese sweet and sour fish sauce (nuoc mam chua ngot). Enjoy!   So is it toddler-approved?  She only eats the crispy skin.
